Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use a form on this site we receive the name, contact details, country and message you choose to give us. If you describe your condition or attach test results, that message contains health data, which is a special category of personal data. We also record the time of the request and a one-way, salted hash of your IP address, used only to limit automated abuse of the form.

Why we may process it

We process this information solely to answer your enquiry and, where you ask for one, to prepare a medical opinion. The legal basis is your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR; Article 6(1) and 6(3) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, KVKK).

Where your message goes

Form messages are not stored on this website. Each message is delivered as e-mail to our international patient desk mailbox and forwarded to the clinical group responsible for answering medical enquiries. Only that team, all of whom are bound by medical confidentiality, can read it. The website database keeps only anonymous counts (which form, which country, whether the mail was delivered).

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained in the mailbox for as long as is needed to answer them and to meet our legal record-keeping obligations, and are then deleted. If your enquiry leads to treatment, your medical record is kept for the period required by Turkish health legislation.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell or rent your data and we do not use it for marketing. Our mail servers are located in Türkiye. If you write to us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your message is transferred to Türkiye on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 49(1)(a) GDPR).

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. A single session cookie is used only when a member of staff signs in to the site's administration area. Nothing is shared with third-party tracking services.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time — withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. Write to international@medinova.com.tr and we will answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Turkish Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EEA/UK, to your local supervisory authority.
