Accessibility

Medinova Hospital wants every visitor to be able to use this website, including people who browse with a screen reader, only a keyboard, screen magnification, speech input or a switch device.

Conformance status

This website is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We aim for full conformance; where a page falls short we treat it as a defect and fix it.

This commitment follows the Presidential Circular of the Republic of Türkiye on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications, which sets WCAG 2.2 as the reference standard.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to main content” link and a single <main> landmark on every page, so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the header and menu.
  • All text meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio (large text and interface components at least 3:1). Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Every interactive element has a clearly visible focus indicator, and no focused element is hidden behind the sticky header.
  • Interactive targets are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
  • The homepage slideshow can be paused, stops when you hover over it or move the keyboard focus into it, and does not start at all if your device requests reduced motion.
  • Form fields have permanent visible labels, are marked up so that browsers can fill them in automatically, and required fields are identified in text as well as with an asterisk.
  • We do not use CAPTCHA puzzles anywhere on this site. Spam is filtered by our own server-side checks, so no visitor is asked to solve a visual or audio puzzle, and no visitor data is sent to a third party for this purpose.
  • Content is written in plain language, images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • The site works with the browser zoomed to 200% and on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

  • The map on the contact page is an embedded Google Maps frame. Its inner controls are outside our control; the full address and telephone number are always given as text next to it, and directions can be opened in a separate map application.
  • Documents supplied to us by third parties (for example PDF reports) may not always be tagged for screen readers. Tell us which document you need and we will provide an accessible version.
  • Content translated into other languages may lag behind the English pages for a short time. Any paragraph that has not yet been translated is shown in English rather than left blank.

Tell us about a problem

If you cannot reach or use any part of this website, please tell us. Describe the page and what happened; you do not need to know any technical terms.

We aim to reply within two working days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you when to expect it and offer the information in another format in the meantime.

How this statement was prepared

The site was assessed by our own information-systems team against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using manual keyboard and screen-reader testing together with automated contrast measurement. Statement prepared on 4 September 2026 and reviewed whenever the site changes materially.
