Our obstetrics and gynaecology department looks after women at every stage of life — pregnancy and delivery, gynaecological disease and surgery, infertility and the menopause.
Conditions we assess
- Irregular, absent, heavy or prolonged periods
- Pelvic pain, severe period pain
- Vaginal discharge, itching, odour
- Pain or bleeding during intercourse
- Suspected pregnancy and antenatal follow-up
- Difficulty conceiving (infertility)
- Menopausal symptoms: hot flushes, night sweats, disturbed sleep
- Urinary incontinence, frequent urination
- Ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids
- Routine gynaecological check-up and cervical smear
Pregnancy and birth
Antenatal follow-up includes detailed ultrasound, screening tests and management of high-risk pregnancy. Deliveries — normal birth and caesarean section — take place in our own delivery rooms with anaesthetic and newborn care on site. Minimally invasive gynaecological surgery (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy) is routine.
