Neurosurgery
Brain, spine and peripheral nerve surgery in Aydın — disc herniation, spinal stenosis, head injury and tumour surgery.
Neurosurgery deals with the surgical treatment of the brain, spinal cord, spine and peripheral nerves. Many of the conditions we see can first be treated without an operation; surgery is recommended only when it is genuinely needed.
Conditions we assess
- Low back pain radiating into the leg, numbness or weakness in the foot (lumbar disc herniation)
- Neck pain with numbness and weakness spreading into the arm (cervical disc herniation)
- Leg pain on walking that forces you to stop frequently (spinal stenosis)
- Numbness and tingling in the hands, worse at night (carpal tunnel syndrome)
- A headache that is getting worse and is most marked in the morning
- Sudden, very severe headache with confusion (possible brain haemorrhage)
- Nausea, vomiting or drowsiness after a head injury
- Headache with imbalance, visual or speech disturbance
- A brain or spinal lesion found on imaging
MRI and CT are performed in our own radiology unit, so diagnosis and surgical planning happen without delay.
