Neurology in Aydın: stroke, epilepsy, migraine, Parkinson disease and nerve disorders, with EEG and EMG on site.
Neurology deals with diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. EEG and EMG are performed in the department.
Conditions we assess
- Frequent or severe headache, migraine
- Dizziness, loss of balance, falls
- Fainting and episodes of loss of consciousness
- Seizures (epilepsy)
- Numbness and tingling in the hands, arms or legs
- Muscle weakness, difficulty walking
- Tremor of the hands, slowness of movement (signs of Parkinson's disease)
- Forgetfulness, getting lost, difficulty finding words
- Sleep disorders, restless legs syndrome
- Double vision, speech disturbance
- Numbness or weakness of the face
Tests performed in the department
Electromyography (EMG) and electroencephalography (EEG), supported by MRI and CT from our radiology unit.
Facial drooping, disturbed speech or sudden weakness in an arm or leg may be a stroke. Do not wait — call 112 immediately. In stroke, every minute of delay costs brain tissue.
