- Sudden leg pain, swelling and redness (possible deep vein thrombosis)
- A pulsating swelling in the abdomen (possible aortic aneurysm)
- Patients advised to have bypass surgery after angiography
- Patients found to have heart valve disease
- Vascular access (fistula) for dialysis
